From her South East London studio, Jess produces small collections and one-off decorative pieces.

A childhood growing up alongside the New Forest's Coastal Path heavily influences her work as she takes inspiration from microscopic forms occurring within nature; in particular sea coral and Radiolaria. Using a variety of tools, she replicates these textures onto the surface of her clay forms.

Each piece Jess makes combines various techniques and methods; from slip casting the body of a form to throwing delicate elements off the hump. The final stage is carefully applying her intricate, marine inspired design to the clay surface, which typically she leaves unglazed.

In 2022 she achieved a Distinction on Morley College London's Ceramic HNC.
